State income tax withholding
Withholding account (INBiz, Business Tax Application BT-1)

- You'll receive:
- A 10-digit Indiana taxpayer ID (TID) plus a 3-digit location number (usually 001). It covers both state and county withholding.
- Send Unify:
- Your Indiana TID and location number.
Keep the Document Locator Number (DLN) the online application gives you.

Unemployment (SUTA) account (Uplink Employer Self Service)
Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD)
- You'll receive:
- A 6-digit SUTA account number (shorter numbers are padded with leading zeros). Most new employers pay 2.5% on the first $9,500 of each employee's wages; construction employers get a different rate.
- Send Unify:
- Your SUTA account number and your rate notice.
Start registration after your first Indiana payroll is issued. Registering online is much faster than the paper form.
