How long do results take?

Many results are available instantly or within minutes. Most county criminal searches come back within a few days; some jurisdictions take up to 5–7 business days.

What do I need before running a check?

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires a written disclosure and your candidate's signed authorization before any search. If the report leads you not to hire, pre-adverse and adverse action notices are required. As the employer, compliance is your responsibility — NCS provides the forms and guidance to help.
